I'm such a sucker for baby animals.  Also, over the last many years I've developed an intense admiration for elephants.  Besides, 

how do you not fall for an animal whose life starts like this?

I’ve always wondered what it must be like to something as big as an elephant. Their babies are adorable. That last one looks like he’s throwing a temper tantrum.

We had a good friend who was an elephant caretaker at the zoo. I loved his stories about them!
