When you have children, the cross-stitch projects you find yourself called upon to do involve character work. Not the theater/acting kind. This kind:
Making Care Bears for my children led, inexorably, to me making a Brave Heart Lion for myself.
These guys have been around this house for close to 30 years. Truth be told, one or both of my children might still be actively involved in the TMNT fandom.
"Cowabunga" sort of sums it all up.

Spectacular! I have a drawer full of the character stitching projects I did for my kids back in the day. Nothing as cool as those though.
