Well, I couldn't wait out the weekend. With the pain in and around my ankle still being sharp, and what little swelling there is, I knew it was best not to wait to see the same doctor Monday. . . I was the second patient in the door this morning. I couldn't imagine that this is where I'm supposed to be right now.
The doctor seem puzzled by the continuing symptoms, but stuck with the cellulitis diagnosis. Gout is another option, but he thinks that's fairly unlikely. He prescribed doxycycline, another antibiotic, so my upcoming week will be on that.
The urgent care office I went to is split between pediatrics and not pediatrics. I was in the waiting room with three sniffling, coughing, sleepy little boys. Two of them were in their fathers' arms, just laid against their chests, pretty worn out. One had a very well-loved If You Give a Mouse a Cookie mouse clutched in his hand. I remember those days.
A while back, I bought myself some banana silk yarn, and today seemed as good a time as any to pull it out. It's simple stockinette scarf on 13s. Excellent for watching football knitting.

Fingers crossed that the new meds work and you're back on your feet soon. Love that scarf. The colors are beautiful.
I hope this one works for you. Those colors are so cheerful!
I bet the new anti-b will finish off the infection! The scarf is pretty!
