Back when I was working 14-16 hour days doing tax returns, one night I was leaving at 1am with several colleagues. As we walked to our cars, I told them that every night when I left work I dared any mugger to confront me. I would bitch-slap that guy three ways to Sunday. I suspect you are suffering from that same bitch-slap-at-the-ready syndrome.
Man I need this for work. There are some people that are REALLY getting on my nerves. Of course, I work for one of those companies that thinks I should respect all of them. I just want to slap them.
Went to Atlanta for a postponed Mother's Day day today. First stop: H Mart . Completely overwhelming. We stuck to pre-packaged things, so as not to leave fresh and/or frozen things in my car. Interesting along the way: and Now, I'm not trying to be culturally insensitive, but, no thanks. Next: a rotating sushi bar.* Delicious. I tried to keep myself in check, as Hannah was paying. Let's just say I could have eaten much more. Then back to her apartment to watch "Barbie." She had even bought special drinks. Another special day. *The sushi rotated, not the building.
You live in a little apartment in the center of town OR a little cabin in a secluded forest... I'll go with a cabin. I do like a nice apartment, but a cozy little place with a fire? No worries about neighbors? Win. It's rained here all day. Never particularly hard, but quite steady. There were 6 or 8 minutes of sun at Noon, then right back to the rain. There are spotty power outages and trees down, but not right here. There weren't even that many branches down in the yard.
