And waiting to get Maddie to the vet in the morning. She's not feeling great, but nothing like Friday.

Good idea! An acquaintance of mine had a "catio" built from one of the windows in her kitchen to the yard below. It's wood with screening all around. The cats go in and out but only when she is around. She said it took them a while, but now they love it.
