It should be said that fifty (!) years ago, many of us watched the first episode of "Saturday Night Live." I'm teetering on the edge of a really bad cold. Ears stopped up, nose stopped up, sneezing. Let me amend that: SNEEZING. The sort of thing that makes you want to snuggle up under quilts and sleep and be cozy and have tissues at hand.

sorry you've a cold! What a misery. Enjoy the read!
I've been a faithful SNL fan all these years. Whenever there is a live show, I treat myself to a little bag of chips, a diet soda and a handful of Twizzlers while I am camped out on the couch for the night. It's been my ritual for as long as I can recall. I'm looking forward to the anniversary tonight. I really enjoyed the music special last night.
Feel better soon!
Feel better soon! I got to watch a taping of SNL long ago--we sat in a special room for friends and family of the cast and I don't remember anything about it except the musical guest was Leon Redbone. I think it was in the Eddie Murphy days. Off to google.
I'm guessing it was this one, with Bruce Dern, and I'm guessing I had no idea who Bruce Dern was. http://www.snlarchives.net/Episodes/?19830312
