Shell Shock

I have been chastised, and very nearly ridiculed, for how long I was sick last week.  The fact that I did not feel like housecleaning or doing laundry during that time was spit at me with venom and force.  Whether the coming holidays would or would not be family occasions was flung through the air.

What is happening?

I’m so sorry you had to put up with that abuse. Not only did you not feel well physically but to have to listen to that as well? Ugh…I am sure you will commence cleaning and laundry once you feel up to it again.

Oh my gosh, that's awful. Some people cannot deal with illness at all.

You have my permission to sit on your couch and stare at the ceiling for as long as you want. You also have my permission not to do any housework for as long as you want. Print out this comment, and if anyone gives you grief about ANYTHING, just show this to them. You also have my permission to stick your tongue out at them at the same time.
