Art Around Us

A gray, cool, misty day which, as you all know, makes me feel better than any of your dumb ol' sunshiny ones.  Tap and I won't be able to take a long walk today, but in a short one before it got kind of wet, we came across this.

Even if you're not a fan of spiders, you must admit their webs are amazing.  This one on the ground shows today's dew and moisture beautifully.

We've had such a spiderwebby fall here! Commented the other day that there's no need to decorate for Halloween with all the cobwebs!

I am taking a community ed class, "Poetry for people who don't get poetry". Today's theme was gratefulness and simplicity. Several of the poems we read pointed out how happiness comes from being grateful for the small, everyday blessings -- like a beautiful spiderweb.
