Not layabout in the lazy sense, but layabout in that it's laying here on the table.
On the one-cross-stitch-a-day front,
This is either a tree ornament, or a stylized pineapple, or a winking lemon. This would have shown up better on not white fabric, but that can be handled later.
I'm decorating a little at a time. The tree is up, but I have to get more lights before hanging the ornaments on it. I'm hanging things on the walls as I unpack them.
Yes, the tousled white hair in the bottom left belongs to the one who was the baby in the upper right.

Fun to have the little sewing project!!! The stitching was accomplished, that's what counts!
I love the notions bag! And I think it's an ornament. But what the hey, use it all year as a lemon and/or pineapple ... ;-)
I was just watching Finnish Knitting Stories and she was showing off her adorable holiday project bag where she keeps her Advent sock project from The Cozy Knitter each year. Every year I say I'm going to get some of that yarn and every year I forget. I'm not treating myself to a holiday bag until I manage to snag some of that yarn.
