Everybody Hurts

So, my psychiatrist is adding a new anti-depressant to my regime, and if it doesn't improve things, he may move to ketamine treatments.

This sort of frightens me.  Ketamine is serious.  My doctor isn't certified to do the treatments, so I'd have to go to someone else.  This is giving me memories of our discussion about electroshock, 12 or 13 years ago.  I hope it doesn't get that far.

This has been my view for most of the past several days:

I feel like I'm making good progress, but there is still so.  Much.  Blue!

I've only ever suffered once from postpartum depression ages ago but the episode is so seared in my brain that I'll never forget the way it made me feel. I hope you can find some relief. Treatment has come a long way from the days when we were told to just get over it like it was some fault in our character. Thank goodness.

Well good luck with figuring it out. Don't know a lot about ketamine but off to learn more about it.

I hope you can work out a plan with your doctor; it is a misery to feel a prisoner to the dark. Keep working with your hands-it helps.
