All of the nominations are in: 60 men will vie for Knitters' Hunk, 32 for Knitters' Chick. The interesting part is the construction and filling out of the brackets. This is done precisely as a tennis or basketball tournament is, with seeds placed first, then the rest of the match-ups made strictly by drawing names out of hats.
A word about seeding: KH seeds have always been the previous years' winners. So, this year, Sam Neill will be the #1 seed, Alan Rickman #2, Johnny Depp #3, and Hugh Jackman #4. But I'm in a bit of a jam with the women. Three women were nominated more than once, so I could use them as #1, #2 and #3. But what about #4? Should she just be chosen at random? Would that be alright with everyone?

I never post the brackets, because I think it's more fun to be surprised each day by which match-up is being voted on. There'll be some math involved, as I try to determine how long it will take to get to the Finals. I have to know how many contests to have per day. It's usually 2, but sometimes 3. You will only be able to vote once each day, but you will be able to check the status of the voting any time and as often as you wish.
Again, the Grand Prize Winners are the nominators of the winning Knitters' Hunk and the winning Knitters' Chick. But I might feel carefree and throw in some prizes at random. Who knows? That's the fun of this little enterprise: the completely unexpected.
Speaking of which, there were a couple of men who had been in every KH we've ever had, but didn't get a single nomination this year:
Just found it interesting. That's all.
I'll keep you posted on how things are progressing!

Oops. I nominated Captain Picard...don't leave him out!
I think that however you pick the women's brackets is OK.
Lorette, you are exactly right --- I was thinking of another "Stewart" when I saw his name. I'll fix that right this minute. SORRY.
OH Mark harmon......I forgot yoU!
I forgot about Mark, too. Too many men, so little time...
I am shocked that Hugh was not nominated! I thought of him and George but assumed they had been nominated... Funny how that is! They will be missed... Maybe there can be a Hall of Forgotten Hunks or something?
Oh- and yes, anything you decide about how to structure the chicks is fine by me! I am just happy to play!
Ack! No George Clooney either?? We're slipping.
Oh, poor George! That's what happens when we assume someone else will take care of it, huh?
Wait - no one nominated Hugh? I thought he was a Given.
