Finals Just a Step Away

Let's get to four, want to?  Thanks, by the way, for breaking those ties.  Using an extra day to break them means that our timeline for crowning has shifted a bit.  We'll get there when we get there.  (Very Mom of me, I know.  What else can I say, though?)

Also by the way, after this round, you won't be able to see the voting results in real time.  It's a good time for suspense, I find.

Onward!

Not Really in My Color Wheel

10.  Red There isn't a lot of red stuff in my life.  Never has been.  I remember exactly three red tops I've had in my life, maybe a couple of skirts with red print.  My one red fashion statement has been my red cowboy boots, modeled after my Daddy's red patent leather ones with the gold toe tips.

Red just doesn't suit my coloring.  Mama could wear it.  Hannah can wear it.  It's just never been a big part of any of my color selection life.  I gravitate toward purples and blues and grays, some green.  I avoid orange at all costs.  At least red doesn't awaken that kind of loathing in me.

Guess Free Association is our best plan, then.

RED
blood

Cross
Bull

And you?  What does red do for you?

9 days until you can submit Knitters' Hunk and Knitters' Chick nominations!

I am late to a lot of parties.  I scarcely ever go to movies, so by the time I watch a film via streaming, or borrow a DVD from Netflix, everyone's fever has come and gone.  Since I read non-fiction almost exclusively, novels that everyone else has long since read and fawned over don't often appear on my radar.  Hence,
If memory serves, Kathy's daughter talked about this book in one of her reading posts over the last few months.  Briton read it long ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and it is his copy that I've borrowed and am just sailing through. What an engaging read.  Most of you have probably already read it;  did you like it this much?

For Those About to Nominate. . .
