My parents were news junkies, and so I became a news junkie early. I didn't quite cut my teeth on Watergate, but it all fascinated me. For the last week and a half, therefore, I've been absorbed in all the stories coming out of Washington, and that's my explanation for my blogging absence.
Kathy, I'm making a Garter Trap with this Premier Yarns "Sweet Roll" colorway.
My baby-gift-knitting is done for now, and so I'm turning to not too complicated projects.
In a couple of weeks, there'll be an announcement of a contest to count down the weeks until Knitters' Chick and Knitters' Hunk. There are some details to work out, and prizes to be chosen, but the goal is to have everything in place by the last week this month.
Stay tuned!

That yarn is lovely, I can't wait to see it knit up!
Someone on Twitter made a comment about the current political situation yesterday: "What a week this day has been!" and I couldn't agree more.
I for one can still picture the Watergate hearings in my head, and name all of the players. My sister made up a song to the tune of "Edelweiss" that started, "Haldeman, Ehrlichmann, both of you are such traitors ..."
Beautiful yarn!
My husband and I have been following the trumpster fires closely. Every night we listen to Rachel Maddow on YouTube (no cable), except when the phone company's crew that is installing fiber optic makes the internet too slow. I keep DH updated on the news alerts that I get from the NYT. I prefer the daily coverage from the Washington Post, but the NYT does better news alerts.
Garter Trap will be gorgeous in that gradient. We watch Trevor Noah nightly. If we can we stay up for Colbert. Colbert is so right on. So we sometimes have to watch it with coffee in the morning!
