Things are very muted here, as dear Lily had to be put down yesterday morning. She was fine Tuesday morning, by that night she was at the UGA Vet Emergency. She was 16 1/2 years old, and the animal who had owned me the longest. She was a Grande Dame, and she will be missed.

Who Could This Be?
Well, it's an animal, I'll give you that much of a clue. But what kind of animal? You can leave guesses in the comments, and mayb...

In addition to the much-too-expensive tooth business (honestly, if I had known that one tooth was worth that, I'd have pulled some more ...

This is my first "all over" collage: I'm still working on whether I'm pleased or not. It's my not liking to cover up...

. . . on wood. Madeleine is back to her usual self. Even eating some dry food, though still preferring bisques and other lickable things.

Lily will be welcomed at the bridge by Wendy, Oliver, Mickey and Jasmine, and they can have a little senior citizen kitty club together. Love to those who remain.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Kim.
I hope you and your kids will be ok. I'm sure it hurts like wild. I hope the other furry family members aren't too confused and sad too. I'm terribly sorry to hear this awful news.
I've always loved your pet photos and anecdotes. I'll miss Lily too. May the dear Dame rest in peace. Hugs. (I know it won't help, but I've been meaning to tell you that Holden named his best Oddish: Captain Kim. I'll send a screenshot when I figure out how...)
Joining the senior citizen's club at the rainbow bridge will be Rocky, Max and Alex. (Look out for Rocky; he's a fighter, hence the name.) Sympathy to you; this is always so hard.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Pets add so much depth to our lives. Lily was a very fortunate kitty to have had you in her life.
That sucks. But what a lovely long life she had, and think how she loves you. It's not as good as still having her to pet and kiss, but I'm glad she didn't suffer. Take care, and know that you did the right thing. But it still sucks.
Everyone at our house (furry and otherwise) will say a special prayer for Lily and for all of you. Take care. xo
Oh Kim. So very sorry. Nothing like a torti love. She had a great life with you, still it hurts so bad
sending sympathy Kim
I am so sorry. Our two 13-yo brother cats, Hannibal and En Esch (the latter named by then-middle-schooler Younger Son after the drummer of some German crash metal group), disappeared within a couple weeks of each other earlier this fall. We blame the #^#$F( neighbor, but we have no proof. I especially miss Hannibal; he was the best cat I have had in 67 years of being owned by cats.
I'm so sorry!! We recently said farewell to our 16yo kitty... miss her! xoxo
Oh, Kim, I am so sorry. I've been there, and the pain is so deep.
