Kathy to the Rescue

I'd been trying to think of something to blog about today, and nothing was coming to me.  Then I remembered that it's Monday, which means Kwestions from Kathy!

Would you rather have someone sit by you and teach you a knit skill, or watch something on you tube and learn?
I haven't had a lot of luck trying to learn via video, so, by default, learning from an in person person.

What is the largest number of stitches you have ever had on a circular needle at one time?
I seem to remember around 600 on a shawl once.  ONCE.

Would you rather learn falconry or swim with a dolphin?
Well, I can't swim, but I'd prefer falconry anyway.

Coffeecake or cheesecake?
Cheesecake.  Cheesecake over anything except flan.

Bacon or sausage?
Bacon, bacon, and, bacon.

Do you use any solar energy?
Sadly, no.

Witchyporides again or Henpecked.? (Blue Moon Sock Yarns)
Henpecked.  Very soothing.

How much does a wool cycling jersey cost today?
I can't even begin to hazard a guess.

What handknit gifts get the most usage per year, in your family?
Scarves.  Easy.

Apple butter or applesauce?
Applesauce.

600 stitches. OH MY! I can barely handle 300.

My answers are the same except I have swam with dolphins, and I've had more stitches in a circular needle than 600. A ruffled edge cost me my sanity and a hefty chunk of time- started with 750 stitches and it grew and grew. I have written down how many stitches it was but cannot recall- mercifully. And I thought it would be a sweet little quickie of a knit. Ha. Boldly purchased yarn for 2 more of that pattern before I even started the ruffle. I've since repurposed the yarns.

The Shared Experience

When my college roommate knit her first scarf, it was a super-long Dr. Who number, all in garter.  She was so proud;  I was proud of and hap...
