Stray Thoughts

Why do we say "ice" water, but "iced" everything else?

*mind blown*

Is anyone still making hexipuffs for a Beekeepers' Quilt?

My mother used to say that if she wanted to feel "spruced up," she'd just put on some lipstick.  For me, it's putting on a pair of earrings.

Things I need to say more often:
"Am I working alone here, people?"
"Stop juggling those cat fetuses!"
"I'm an expert on my own story.  I was there."

Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to why I bought these notecards?

Peyton Manning can be really, really funny.

Andy Richter is really, really funny.

The phrase "plays sports" distresses me.

Has anyone else been assaulted by THE COLOR CORAL in the current knitting magazines?

Listening to/watching Al Green sing makes me happy.

I'm working on three all-garter-stich projects right now, and I'm not fed up with any of them.  Yet.

Well, I stopped making Hexipuffs a while ago, yet my quilt isn't finished. Or anywhere near finished, for that matter.
Al Green- I definitely agree with you here.

I really, really want to know about the situation that demands the comment about juggling cat fetuses.

It was actually something I overheard, and have been carrying it ever since. One of the funniest things I've ever heard.

Red lipstick, just like my mama. It makes me feel like a '40s movie star, even if I'm clearly not.
I have a box of hexipuff good intentions. I still am delusional enough to think I will finish it before I die. Since I only have 3 puffs done, that's really not likely, BUT.
And those cards. Please tell me you really didn't buy those.

What I Heard

For (probably) longer than I should have, I thought that piece of furniture was a "chester drawers." I once went bed frame shoppin...
